Profile

Chris is a qualified and registered technology teacher responsible for developing learning content and undertaking assessment and moderation across three technology disciplines. He works closely with Industry Training Organisations, BCITO and COMPETENZ, to ensure graduating students are well positioned to enter the workforce in a variety of construction and engineering roles.

Moreover, he is a qualified furniture maker with extensive experience in a variety of technical fields – aircraft manufacture, boatbuilding, construction, composites, product design and mechanical engineering.

Mosquito Aircraft Restoration
Drury, Auckland

Chris is currently working as part of a small team building a Mark IV Mosquito fighter/bomber for a UK client. His role involves interpreting original De Havilland war-time drawings, selecting timber, marking out, making patterns/jigs, cutting/laminating and creating components and assemblies.

● Graduate Diploma of Engineering - University of Waikato. (2012)
● Graduate Diploma of Teaching (Technology) - University of Waikato. (2012)
● NZ National Certificate in Furniture Making (level 4).
● Full NZ Driving licence (‘F’ ‘WTR’ endorsements)
● First Aid Certificate (units 6400, 6401, 6402)
