LIGHT PAINTING PHOTOGRAPHY
This creative art form uses handheld lights to paint and/or draw in a scene while the shutter of a camera is left open.  The long exposure photography uses the flashes, streaks, colours, textures and trails of light to create and capture amazing images.  This is a wonderful way to engage in creative art using a camera.

ENGLISH BEGINNERS AND PRE-INTERMEDIATE (TWICE PER WEEK)
A beginners ESOL class for those starting out. Basic introduction to words and phrases.


ESOL LEVEL 1 - GIDDAY MATE ENGLISH FOR MIGRANTSBasic ESOL class with a focus on "Kiwi" English. For people with a little English.  Introduction to words and phrases.  Learn phonics, basic vocabulary and spelling.  Learn grammar and form simple sentences.  Gain confidence and new speaking skills.  Classes are communicative and fun.


UNDERSTANDING ISLAM
The course fee has been waived for this course. If you'd like to make a donation on the first night of the course, your contribution will be forwarded to the victims of the 15 March Christchurch attack. FUNCTIONAL MOVEMENT CLASS FOR NON ATHLETES

LANDSCAPE PAINTING WITH ACRYLICS
This programme is skills based, experiential and focused on the discipline of observation. We shift between 2D and 3D initially to anchor the programme in material reality: when we paint landscape we are engaging with actual landforms, not photographs of the land.

Come, enjoy a fun and rewarding night out making something for your home or garden you'll be proud of. See students first projects at www.moZaics.co.nz You do not need to be "artistic" to make mosaics. You'll be shown Direct, Indirect and Reverse methods, which glues to use, different cutting techniques.

CAKE DECORATING
Learn how to cover and decorate a cake for that special occasion. You will be inspired by the ideas learned here; including piping, moulded blossoms, leaves, flower, drapes and bows. Limited only by your imagination. Materials cost extra.

INDIAN FOOD MADE EASY
Each week covers 7 dishes starting ranging from soup to dessert. You will learn how to cook all time favourites like tandoori chicken, butter chicken, rogan josh, roti, naan etc. Tutor is willing to include any of your favourite dish if not already in the course.


WOODWORK - BEGINNERS TO INTERMEDIATE
A hands-on practical class.  Work on your own project at your own pace under Paul’s guidance.  All equipment is supplied, however, bring your own materials.  No recycled timer can be used as this may damage school equipment.  Students who have not previously attended this class are required to start a week early for an introduction night to learn about the equipment and to discuss their projects with the tutor. 

COOKIE DECORATING
Learn new skills on how to decorate cookies for the holidays. We will cover the basics of cookie decorating using royal icing and take you through different techniques on how to make your cookies look great! Cover various themes, like Valentine’s Day, Easter, Halloween and Christmas and make fabulous cookies for you and your loved ones.  Great for beginners as well as those who want to practice their skills.

GUITAR BEGINNERS
Great class if you have ever wanted to learn how to play the guitar. Learn how to play tunes through easy to read tablature. Master strumming, simple chords to well known songs including kiwi classics and others .E.g. Ten guitars, You are my sunshine, Pokarekareana, Jamaican farewell, Amazing Grace, and many more. Guitars available for use if required ($10 payable to hire a guitar).

COMPUTING BEGINNERS
Small, informal and friendly class with lots of time for individual help. Starts from how to search on the internet, find the useful information, create an email account and sending email, word processing. The course will be tailored to suit the needs and interests of the group.


ORIENTAL TRAIL
Spend an enjoyable evening cooking food from a different country each week. Enjoy the cuisine of China, Korea, Vietnam and Malaysia.

JAPANESE STAGE I
An intensive conversation-based course, giving you the ability to converse freely and confidently in everyday situations. A basic introduction to the culture will be included. Mitsuko is a native Japanese speaker with experience in adult teaching.

MANDARIN STAGE I
An introduction to the Mandarin Language. All essential skills will be covered with emphasis on conversation.

MS EXCEL BEGINNERS TO INTERMEDIATE
A class for people who have some computer skills but are new to Excel. This course will provide you with a means of performing numerical and statistical calculations. Learn the basics of Excel including formulae, formatting, editing, replication and much more. Step two will cover more advanced functions, spreadsheet design, data sorting and filtering, charts and graphs and much more.
