My name is Siham.  I come originally from Cairo, Egypt but New Zealand has been my home for the past 25 years.  I live in Pukekohe, South Auckland with my lovely gorgeous friendly 2 cats Orlando and Amara.

I have a PhD from Waikato University, Hamilton, New Zealand; Masters of Adult Literacy and Numeracy Education from Auckland University of Technology, Auckland New Zealand; Masters of Public Administration from the American University of Cairo, and Bachelors of English Literature from Ain Shams University, Cairo, Egypt.

My first teaching job was in my teens teaching primary school students English as a second language beside other subjects.  Later on, in my career I was privileged to travel and work in various countries and becoming a universal citizen.  That also provided me with experience in various fields i.e., manufacturing, health, service, and education field to add to my kite of knowledge.  Moreover, my communication skills were heightened while teaching students from diversified cultural background in subjects related to the business/management studies, innovation & entrepreneurship and health services management.

I am passionate about my students and their learning journey.  Due to my diversified background and skills I like to help my students in perfecting their academic skills in the following areas: English language, presentation skills, emotional & social intelligence, mindfulness management, feedback & peer evaluation, academic writing, research skills, and business studies.

I am told that I have a good sense of humour and is approachable which makes it easier to get to know my learners and their requests.  Furthermore, it enables me to tailor my lessons to meet their learning style and help them achieve their educational goals.

My motto is: “My students’ success is my reward.”
