Come along to learn about the Japanese practice of Suminagashi Floating Ink or paper marbling. This is a beginner workshop that allows you to try your hand at this ancient technique. Bring an apron or wear clothes you do not mind getting dirty. 

In the beginning of the course we will learn about the history of Suminagashi and then try our hand at it. The instructor will demonstrate all techniques step by step and will help to troubleshoot while you are practicing. Then we will take these marbled papers and draw back into them with ink and gesso. 

This is a class to help spark you back into drawing practice, giving you a new way to look at your world.
