CHESS SKILLS & TOURNAMENT

Come along and enjoy a game of chess! All skill levels are welcome, from complete beginners to experienced players.

Each two-hour session is split into two parts. The first hour focuses on chess techniques and skills, including opening principles, middle game tactics, and endgame strategies. You’ll also explore famous classical games from world chess championships and top grandmasters, learning from their strategies and moves. Using a wall-hanging chess board, the tutor will guide you through openings, mating patterns, attack and defense methods, and key endgame principles.

The second hour is for practical play, where you can enjoy a casual practice game or participate in a fun tournament-style game to test your skills. Standard chess sets are provided, so all you need to bring is yourself—or bring a friend and join the challenge!
