Join us in this workshop to learn the Japanese practice of Suminagashi, experiment with materials, and take home a new approach to drawing!

Course Outline:

This course will begin by exploring the basics of Suminagashi, the traditional Japanese practice of floating ink on water to create marbled paper. Using these marbled papers as your starting point, you will then draw directly back into the images using ink and gesso, developing your work into finished works of art!
