We face moral/ethical dilemmas daily in our lives when facing personal decisions or dealing with work-related issues. Course outline:

Format: half an hour introduction to an Ethical theory (one per class), followed by a group discussion of the practical application of the theory (case-study).

• Session 1: Overview of the main moral theories
• Session 2: Utilitarianism
• Session 3: Deontology
• Session 4: Virtue Ethics
• Session 5: Applied Ethics (case study: crime & punishment)
• Session 6: Applied Ethics (case study: gene editing)
