In this course, grammar skills will be developed, vocabulary expanded, and emphasis placed on prioritising speaking and listening abilities.

Course outline:

• Introduction to the Conditional Tense: Learn how to express hypothetical situations and make polite requests using the conditional tense (e.g., podrías).
• More Complex Sentences: Learn to build compound and complex sentences using conjunctions (e.g. porque, aunque, pero).
• Reading, Writing, and Speaking Practice: Enhance conversational skills by discussing future plans and past experiences and sharing opinions.
• Past Tenses: Preterite tense is used for actions completed in the past, while the imperfect tense is used for habitual actions in the past.
• Cultural Insights: Explore cultural differences and customs in Spanish-speaking countries through language, discussing traditions, holidays, and etiquette, and introducing phrases and expressions used in formal and informal settings.
• Idiomatic Expressions and Colloquialisms: Introduce common Spanish idioms and phrases to sound more natural (e.g., estar en las nubes – "to be daydreaming").
• Pronunciation Practice: Refine pronunciation, focusing on sounds unique to Spanish (e.g., r and rr, ll, ñ).
