This beginner-friendly candle making course is designed to be fun, interactive and a great way to meet new people and learn the process of candle making.  Equipment, gloves and instructions are provided. You may wish to wear an apron or art smock to protect your clothing.

Note! A materials fee is covered within your course fee. 

Students will learn about:

- different kinds of wax
- the history of candle making
- the benefits of soy wax vs parafin wax 
- the science behind candle making
- fragrance loads and how to fragrance your candles
- candle safety tips
- candle and packaging suppliers

Expected learning outcomes:

- understand the basics of making a soy candle
- use candle equipment to create candles
- be able to make your own soy, scented candles
- learn how to care for your candle
