Want to learn how to repair small items like chairs and small couches?

Gain new skills in this beginners workshop! You will be learning how to refurbish chairs and other small items. The teacher is an upholstery expert with over 35 years of experience and has worked in various countries.

You will learn the following skills:
● Webbing and foam preparation
● Fabric measuring, cutting and pattern making
● Material fixing
● Sewing
● And other fundamental upholstery techniques

Please bring a small piece of furniture or project. You will need to bring your item with you for each class. Please ensure that you are able to carry it yourself, or that you have help in carrying it.

We encourage you to bring the following equipment if you have it. Otherwise, we may be able to lend you some.

• one pair scissors about 20 cm long
• one tape measure
• metal spring load
• one pen ink
• one pen felt
• one flat blade screwdriver
• small hammer
• diagonal pliers
• staple gun
• craft knife
